Alumnus Bob Powell’s company, Brightmark, can take all plastics, including hard-to-recycle types 3 through 7, and convert them into usable products.

From the Tech Tower conference room at Brightmark headquarters in San Francisco, CEO Bob Powell, EE 88, MS Mgt 90, and his team are advancing plastics renewal and waste management globally.

Powell looks back at his choice to attend Tech as one of the best decisions he ever made, noting both the intense challenge and rigor of his degree programs, as well as the enriching community and social events.
